Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

I love how real this book is. It deals with a difficult subject matter and makes you feel like you are going through the ever changing emotions right along with the characters.

But also, it's not the typical romance book. It's not just boy meets girl, they discover the difficult things each are dealing with, get past them together and live happily ever after.

I won't give any spoilers but I'll say this was a refreshing love story and again was very real in the fact that sometimes there are complications in life that don't get fixed.

I also loved that although both characters help each other, this was really about Lou's discovery of herself. Will helps opens her mind to all the things she has been missing out on. But at the end of the book it's obvious she also has to take time for herself to figure some things out, it isn't all about the guy and what he does for her but how she can help herself.

I absolutely would recommend this book to people. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll start rethinking certain things you currently believe, and just be moved.

Synopsis: Louisa Clark is an ordinary young woman living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has never been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is. Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.
