This book is for those that love books. In each carefully crafted word and sentence, you can see the author’s love of literature and words. Setterfield beautifully crafted so many passages with wonderful language and style that had me rereading just so I could feel the warmth in my soul over and over again as I read them.

Although I did enjoy this book as well, the first two in the series were definitely better. This one was a touch too long and certain developments with the characters were slight disappointments. So I'm on the fence between 3.5 -4 stars.

Read MoreOverall, I enjoyed this book as it had an interesting plot filled with some Greek mythology, Gods and daemons. The character development and arcs were good and added to the overall plot. There’s a lot of action and a lot of things are revealed, but it’s written in an easier way to read so you don’t get lost in the chaos.

Schwab has a wonderful way of creating complex characters and compelling fantasy worlds that are so real you feel like you could step through the pages and walk right alongside them. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite fantasy authors as she writes these worlds with a fantastic balance of descriptive, action and emotional scenes. You begin to love the world she created while also loving her twisted characters.

I finally listened to Between Sisters and although it won't be making my favorites list, I really enjoyed this story of familial love.

It is so beautifully written and perfectly balances a story of growing up and survival along with a murder mystery that makes every page so intriguing and enthralling that so many readers will find themselves enjoying it.

It contradicts itself just enough to pull you in and capture you in the intriguing plot and characters that you never went to let go.
