Review Policy

Thank you for taking the time to browse my site and for your interest in my reading preferences and review policy. If you are an author or publisher interested in sending me a book for review, I will gladly consider your request!

Here’s a bit more about how things work on The Book of Meadow: 

I usually read about 4-6 books each month. Of these…

  • I post a review of every single book I read on The Book of Meadow All The Books and all of my social media accounts listed below.

  • I mention all of the books I read each month in a monthly recap newsletter.

  • I often request several library books at a time as I live in NYC and then have to wait a bit, so at times I get too many library books at one time that become my priority so I don’t pay those pesky late fees!

  • I’m obsessed with reading books; you’ll never find me without books queued on my Kindle or Audible apps or even a physical copy. Although I do have some creative writing background, I am not a professional book reviewer and do have a full-time job. For me, this is a hobby to help me unwind and of course enjoy the worlds and characters others create. I love reading, reviewing and posting about these amazing creations and although they will be my personal opinion, I also respect the time and effort you as an author put into your creation when writing my reviews.

Preferred Genres

I read almost everything, but here’s a list of genres I love the most.

  • Contemporary

  • Historical Fiction

  • Fantasy and Urban Fantasy

  • Mystery

  • Non-Fiction: For this genre I lean towards memoirs, biographies and certain historical accounts of events.

  • Paranormal 

  • Romance

  • Science Fiction

  • Thriller

  • True Crime

  • Young Adult

The majority of books reviewed on this site and other social media outlets are either purchased by me (Jenna), owner of The Book of Meadow, or loaned from the library. In some cases, I’ve received books from authors or sites such as NetGalley and BookSirens in exchange for my honest and personal review, and is always stated in the review. The Book of Meadow receives no monetary compensation for book reviews, interviews, giveaways, and book tours. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
