Stardust by Neil Gaiman

I really enjoy Gaiman's writing style. This is the second book I've read of his and it definitely didn't disappoint. He interweaves so many different storylines into one cohesive plot that makes everything so much more interesting and exciting. Each character is so different and adds such great things to the overall story.

For this book, I loved the seamless transition between the real world and the fairie world. It made it feel so much more real and you could really see what was happening. But I also liked that most things of this world were already accepted. There wasn't this hemming and hawing of ‘I'm dreaming…this isn't real’ that you usually deal with in other fantasy books.

The recurring themes of obligation, love and loyalty also made for some really exciting and unique scenes.

All in all I'd recommend this book to fantasy fans, especially any one who has already read a Neil Gaiman book.
